Bengaluru, May 11 (NationPress) Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Labour and Employment, Shobha Karandlaje, spearheaded the 'Walk for Nation' march in Bengaluru on Sunday, demonstrating support for the Indian armed forces and soldiers.
The event saw a significant turnout, commencing from Vidyaranyapura Playgrounds and concluding at the Ganesh Temple in Sahakarnagar.
Notable figures in attendance included Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, retired Wing Commander V. K. Singh, along with other distinguished BJP leaders.
Marchers proudly displayed the Indian National Flag and chanted slogans in support of the armed forces.
“Since 1971, India has lived under the threat of war. While many of us haven’t seen combat, we mourn each time our soldiers face enemy fire. The Kargil war, the Uri attacks, Pulwama, and the recent Pahalgam terror assault have all led to the loss of both civilians and valiant soldiers,” stated Shobha Karandlaje.
“Our nation has never instigated conflict with any other country, yet Pakistan has shown it cannot be trusted. This was evident once again when it breached the ceasefire merely three hours after it was established on Saturday. The Pahalgam attack was a targeted assault based on religion. In retaliation, the Indian armed forces launched an offensive, destroying nine terrorist camps without endangering civilians,” she emphasized.
“We must rally behind our soldiers who defend our borders amidst harsh conditions, trusting that society will support their families in times of need. We need to display our solidarity. Across the nation, similar marches are taking place to uplift the spirits of our armed forces,” she added.
Minister Shobha further remarked, “Pakistan has continuously flouted agreements, exporting terrorism globally while sending its impoverished citizens to the Middle East. The international community recognizes Pakistan as a terrorism hub, and while our armed forces confront this threat, we must stand united with them.”
Opposition Leader Chalavadi Narayanaswamy commented, “India is not inclined to initiate war. However, in Pahalgam, terrorists murdered tourists based on their religion. It became imperative to deliver a lesson to the neighboring nation, leading to the destruction of terrorist hideouts and escalating the current conflict.”
“Despite interventions from US President Donald Trump, which led to a temporary ceasefire, violations persist. Our soldiers are responding decisively. This march is organized to express our solidarity. Pakistan is not a nation but a terrorist stronghold that disregards all norms. They must face the consequences, and our armed forces are enforcing that,” he concluded.
