New Delhi, June 18 (NationPress) Sikkim's Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang met with a delegation from the Indian Himalayan Council of Nalanda Buddhist Tradition (IHCNBT) in the national capital on Wednesday. The delegation was headed by Thegtse Rinpoche, the President of IHCNBT.
During their discussion, Rinpoche informed the Chief Minister about the Council's significant initiatives at the national level, particularly focusing on the promotion and preservation of Buddhist traditions throughout the trans-Himalayan region, from Arunachal Pradesh to Ladakh.
Chief Minister Tamang praised the Council's dedication and contributions to the spiritual and cultural advancement of the Himalayan Buddhist community.
He assured the delegation that the Government of Sikkim would continue to support their endeavors.
