Jaipur, March 6 (NationPress) Following the directive of Ajmer Range DIG, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been established to investigate the Bijaynagar rape-blackmail case in Rajasthan.

The team will be spearheaded by Additional Superintendent of Police (SP) Nem Singh and comprises Additional SP Bhupendra Sharma, Masuda CO (Circle Officer) Sajjan Singh, CI (Circle Inspector) Vidya Meena, Bijaynagar Police Station Officer Karan Singh, and SI Parul Yadav.

According to Additional SP Nem Singh, the SIT was formed late on Wednesday night to take charge of the case.

“Our team will visit the crime scene, scrutinize the case details, and address any investigative shortcomings. We will meticulously analyze the evidence to ensure a thorough inquiry,” he stated.

Singh further noted that the team includes the Additional SP of Beawar, Masuda CO, two police station officers, and a sub-inspector. “We will engage with the victims and their families, review case documents, and close any investigative gaps,” he added.

In a recent development, Bijaynagar police apprehended one more suspect in the case, bringing the total number of arrests to 14. Karan Singh, the station in charge, confirmed that Aman alias Aman Mansuri, a resident of Taaron Ka Kheda, Bijaynagar, has been detained.

Investigations have uncovered that Aman befriended schoolgirls and facilitated their encounters with the accused.

The police are currently interrogating him for further information regarding the case.

Thus far, Bijaynagar police have arrested 11 individuals related to three distinct cases and detained three minors.

Of those arrested, 10 have been remanded to jail, while three minors have been placed in a juvenile facility.

The matter was initially reported on February 15, when a minor girl lodged a complaint at the Bijaynagar police station. Subsequently, another minor filed a similar report.

Later, the father of three girls also came forward, alleging that minor girls from private schools were being raped and blackmailed using explicit photos and videos.

The victims were reportedly coerced into reciting Kalma, observing fasting, and converting their religion.

Widespread protests erupted across Ajmer, demanding stringent action against the perpetrators.

The police have filed cases under the POCSO Act and other pertinent sections, initiating a comprehensive investigation.
