Chennai, April 5 (NationPress) Today, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will engage in a campaign across the districts of Virudhunagar and Madurai, participating in multiple public meetings and a roadshow to support DMK and its alliance candidates.
Continuing his dynamic campaign, Stalin addressed crowds in Nagercoil and Sankarankovil, located in the Tenkasi district, on Saturday evening before resting at a guest house in Virudhunagar.
On Sunday, he plans to lead a significant public rally in Virudhunagar at Chathirareddiapatti along the Madurai four-lane highway, where a grand stage has been constructed to accommodate party workers and supporters.
During the Virudhunagar rally, Stalin will advocate for candidates from seven Assembly constituencies, including Sattur Ramachandran from Aruppukottai, Thangam Thennarasu from Tiruchuzhi, Ashokan from Sivakasi, Thanga Pandian from Rajapalayam, Vijay Prabhakar from Virudhunagar, Mahalingam from Srivilliputhur, and Bernadur Rajachirathur.
After the Virudhunagar event, he will move to Thirumangalam in Madurai district, where another public meeting is scheduled at 4 p.m. in Rayapalayam. This gathering will aim to rally support for nine DMK alliance candidates contesting in the area, including Palanivel Thiaga Rajan from Madurai Central and candidates from Madurai East, North, South, West, Thirumangalam, Tirupparankundram, Sholavandan, and Usilampatti constituencies.
It is important to note that the candidate for the Melur constituency has not yet been disclosed.
Later that evening, Stalin will arrive in Madurai city to conduct a roadshow, which will span a critical route from the TVS Nagar bridge to the Villapuram Jayavilas area in the Madurai West constituency.
This roadshow is anticipated to attract substantial public support as the DMK aims to solidify its voter base in the region.
As the day wraps up, the Chief Minister is expected to return to Chennai by flight around 7 p.m.
With the Assembly elections just around the corner, Stalin's ambitious campaign underscores the DMK's commitment to enhancing its influence in southern districts and securing backing for alliance candidates in competitive constituencies.
