At the age of 85 and having remained a bachelor, Suryamukhi Devi was honored as one of the 113 recipients of the Padma Shri this year. The formal award presentation occurred on May 27, 2025, at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. Regrettably, she could not attend due to her health issues.
