This incident occurred amidst ongoing investigations into a toxic liquor tragedy in Saran district, where five individuals tragically died from consuming spurious liquor. This fatal incident transpired between March 11 and 13, with two fatalities reported from a village under the Panapur police station and three from a village under the Masrakh police station.
Additionally, around 12 other individuals fell ill, requiring hospitalization after displaying symptoms like blurred vision and a rapid decline in health. After receiving appropriate medical care, these individuals were discharged.
In response to this tragedy, the district administration has intensified its efforts against illegal liquor operations in the area. Police confirmed that operations are ongoing to apprehend additional suspects involved in the distribution of toxic liquor.
