Patna, March 2 (NationPress) Bihar's Opposition Leader Tejashwi Yadav has directed his criticism towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the Assembly elections draw near.

His statements have sparked significant backlash from BJP officials, who accused Tejashwi of disrespecting Bihar’s farmers and their crops.

Dilip Jaiswal, referencing the infamous multi-crore fodder scam, in which Lalu Prasad Yadav was found guilty, remarked: "It’s preferable to consume Makhana rather than animal feed! Tejashwi ought to learn to honor Bihar’s farmers instead of ridiculing them."

Bihar’s Minister of Road Construction, Nitin Naveen, chastised Tejashwi for undermining Bihar’s farmers and the burgeoning Makhana sector.

"PM Modi has uplifted Bihar’s farmers by endorsing Makhana. Rather than acknowledging this, Tejashwi is making sarcastic remarks about him. This is genuinely an affront to the farmers of Bihar, particularly in the Mithilanchal area, where it is produced in large quantities and exported globally," Naveen stated.

BJP National General Secretary Rituraj Sinha labeled Tejashwi’s comments as a manifestation of anxiety as elections approach.

"Tejashwi and his family had their opportunity to govern Bihar from 1990 to 2005 but were preoccupied with scams—fodder, soil, and alcohol! Now that someone is actually making progress, they are perturbed. This is indicative of their unease. Tejashwi Yadav is aware that RJD will face a significant defeat in Bihar in the forthcoming election," Sinha remarked.

As the Bihar elections loom closer, every statement is evolving into a political uproar.

Tejashwi Yadav targeted Prime Minister Modi following his claim during the Bhagalpur rally that he consumes Makhana for breakfast 300 days a year.
