Hyderabad, April 5 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, emphasized on Sunday that for democracy to thrive, it is essential for all its pillars to function with mutual respect and steer clear of conflicts.

He expressed that his administration holds the utmost regard for not only court decisions and rulings but also for various insights and feedback.

Speaking during the foundation-laying ceremony of Zone-II for the new Telangana High Court building, he was joined by Chief Justice of India, Justice Surya Kant.

“In our democratic framework, the three branches—the legislature, executive, and judiciary—operate with independence, interdependence, and mutual respect. The judiciary serves as the final avenue for citizens seeking justice. Hence, it is a significant opportunity for my administration to commence the initiative for establishing a new High Court complex for Telangana,” he noted.

Revanth Reddy remarked that previous governments and Chief Ministers could have spearheaded this project, yet it fell to his administration to fulfill this noble responsibility.

“The new High Court is set to become a symbol, a vital resource for society and democracy, where the underprivileged will come in search of justice. For the next century, it will stand as a beacon for the poor, the marginalized, and the unheard, offering them a chance to seek justice,” he stated.

He acknowledged that the existing High Court, a structure of notable historical relevance, is no longer able to accommodate the demands of all parties involved.

“This building, beyond its legacy, reflects my government's perspective and values regarding democracy. We believe that all the pillars should work in unison, with mutual respect. My administration holds the judiciary in the highest esteem,” he added.

He asserted that it is the responsibility of the political leadership to equip the judiciary with the best modern amenities to enable them to perform at their utmost potential.

“What we are constructing here will not only be among the largest High Court edifices in India but will also set a standard for modernity and excellence in public infrastructure. One of our government's first resolutions upon taking office in December 2023 was to initiate this new High Court complex at Rajendranagar, for which we allocated 100 acres of land,” he explained.

He indicated that development is currently underway for Zone I, which includes institutional buildings. Zone-II will consist of residential facilities, with the goal of completing it ahead of schedule by December of the following year.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister disclosed that his government is actively pursuing multiple new initiatives across the state for 49 courts, along with several residential quarters in various towns and districts.
