Telangana IPS Association Criticizes K.T. Rama Rao's Comments on District Collector

Hyderabad, Nov 28 (NationPress) The Telangana IPS Association has vehemently denounced the disparaging comments made by Sircilla MLA, K.T. Rama Rao, directed at Rajanna Sircilla District Collector, Sandeep Kumar Jha.

In a statement released on Thursday, the Association firmly stated that it categorically condemns the unfounded and derogatory accusations aimed at a serving civil servant, specifically the Collector of Sircilla District, by the MLA, which attempts to undermine his integrity and impartiality.

“Such statements represent a blatant violation of the principles of governance and the constitutional framework under which civil servants function,” the statement read.

“Civil servants are obligated to uphold the rule of law and provide service to the public without bias or favoritism, and such unwarranted attacks are both reckless and harmful to our democratic institutions,” it further stated.

“We, the members of the Telangana IPS Officers’ Association, stand resolutely with the officer in question and reaffirm our collective dedication to preserving the dignity, independence, and impartiality of civil services,” it added.

The Association called for an immediate halt to such baseless allegations and urged all involved parties to engage in discussions that honor institutional integrity and the rule of law.

K.T. Rama Rao, who serves as the Working President of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), criticized the District Collector on Tuesday for allegedly prompting BRS supporters to join the Congress party.

The BRS leader claimed that the Collector was acting like a Congress party member.

“Collectors and other officials acting as Congress activists will receive a fitting response once the BRS regains power,” K.T. Rama Rao stated.

“I will personally take responsibility for this. I will ensure it happens,” he declared during the Deeksha Divas preparatory meeting held at the BRS office in Sircilla on Tuesday.

The BRS is preparing to commemorate Deeksha Divas on November 29.

On this date in 2009, BRS President K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) initiated an indefinite hunger strike to advocate for a separate Telangana state.

This action resulted in the announcement by the then Congress-led UPA government at the Centre on December 9, 2009, stating that the process for the formation of Telangana State would commence.
