Hyderabad, July 6 (NationPress) The Telangana State Council of Higher Education has declared that there are 107,218 seats available across 171 engineering colleges in the state.

Out of the total seats, 76,795 (which is 70 percent) will be allocated through the Convenor quota.

The details were made public on Sunday, coinciding with the announcement that eligible candidates for the TGEAPCET-2025 (Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test) can start choosing their web options.

Candidates have until July 10 to finalize their choices, with the last date for certificate verification set for July 8. As of now, 76,494 candidates have completed the verification process.

A total of 95,654 candidates have paid their processing fees and booked their slots.

Sridevasena, the Commissioner of Technical Education and Convenor for TGEAPCET-2025, emphasized the importance for candidates to select as many options as they can to secure admission to a preferable college and program in the initial round.

The Higher Education Council has confirmed that 21 constituent engineering colleges from 10 universities offer an intake of 5,808 engineering seats.

Additionally, two colleges affiliated with private universities provide 1,800 seats, with 1,260 allocated under the Convenor quota.

In 148 private unaided engineering colleges, 99,610 seats will be available, out of which 69,727 seats will also be filled under the Convenor quota.

The Higher Education Council has released a detailed breakdown of available seats across the 47 engineering colleges.

Among these, 26,150 seats are designated for programs in computer sciences and engineering, with 12,495 for computer science and engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) and 10,125 in electronics and communication engineering. There are 6,996 seats for computer science and engineering (Data Science), 4,301 in electrical and electronics engineering, 3,681 in information technology, 3,129 in civil engineering, and 2,994 in mechanical engineering.

The convenor reported that there are 1,235 seats available in artificial intelligence and data science, and 1,439 in computer science and engineering (cybersecurity).

Only 30 seats are open in agricultural engineering, and 42 seats each in artificial intelligence, automobile engineering, computer science and engineering (Networks), electronics, communication and instrumentation engineering, electronic and telematics, mechanical (Mechatronics) engineering, metallurgy, and material engineering.
