Hyderabad, April 15 (NationPress) Tragically, two workers from Telangana were killed by a Pakistani national in Dubai, as reported by Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Tuesday.
The victims, Ashtapu Prem Sagar and Srinivas, were attacked by their co-worker at Modern Bakery LLC during their working hours on April 11.
Bandi Sanjay took to ‘X’ to express his sorrow over the tragic events. He mentioned, “I spoke with officials from the Ministry of External Affairs today, and our MHA office is in regular contact with them.”
The minister also stated that he communicated with Ashtapu Sandeep, the brother of Prem Sagar, offering complete support as the family awaits the return of his brother's remains. The Indian Consulate has urged Dubai Police to hasten this process.
“I am thankful to the Ministry of External Affairs for their quick action and for treating this matter with the urgency it deserves. We are providing all necessary assistance for the prompt repatriation of the victims and stand united with their families during this time of sorrow,” remarked Bandi Sanjay.
G. Kishan Reddy, the Union Minister for Coal and Mines, also expressed his shock over the horrific incident involving the two Telugu youths from Telangana in Dubai. Ashtapu Prem Sagar was from Nirmal district, while Srinivas was from Nizamabad district.
Kishan Reddy mentioned that he spoke with External Affairs Minister S. Jai Shankar, who assured full support to the grieving families and the swift repatriation of the deceased.
“The MEA will make efforts to ensure quick justice in this case. I appreciate Shri Jaishankar ji for his assistance and support in this matter,” added Kishan Reddy.
The Telangana youths were tragically killed by their coworker during working hours. Additionally, two others suffered injuries in the attack.
The incident was reportedly fueled by workplace stress and communal tensions.
