During the search, security personnel seized one 5.56 mm INSAS rifle along with a magazine, a 9 mm pistol with a magazine, 18 rounds of 5.56 mm ammunition, and two rounds of 9 mm ammunition.
The arrested militant was reportedly leading a four-member team that had entered the Longding district with plans to kidnap or eliminate an undisclosed target. However, the prompt and coordinated efforts of the security forces thwarted this intended terrorist act, an official stated.
An FIR has been filed at the Longding police station regarding this case, and further investigations are ongoing.
