New Delhi, Jan 9 (NationPress) The keynote speech delivered by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) event in Bhubaneswar, Odisha on Thursday garnered enthusiastic acclaim from members of the global Indian community. They expressed their appreciation for the Prime Minister's invitation to foster a deeper bond with the Indian diaspora, highlighting that his aura is unparalleled.
Antara Tallam, a representative from the United Kingdom, reflected on India's advancements during PM Modi's tenure, stating, “Since Prime Minister Modi ji took office, we have witnessed progress and development not limited to any specific state or city, but throughout the entire nation.”
Chinu Kishore from the British Virgin Islands shared his admiration, saying, “Listening to him is a truly fortunate experience for us. I follow him on television. He possesses a unique aura. When he greets us with ‘Mitron (friends),’ it’s hard to resist being engaged.”
Grammy-award-winning musician Ricky Kej, who created the theme song for the event, also expressed his excitement.
“I feel privileged to have composed a special song for the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas. Performing it in front of the Prime Minister and thousands of attendees was exhilarating. I am thrilled that the Prime Minister appreciated it and even referenced it in his address,” he stated.
Paresh Shah, a delegate from Oman, stressed the significance of initiatives like 'Mann Ki Baat'.
“Modi ji is documenting our history, which is crucial for future generations to comprehend how our ancestors migrated from India to Oman. It’s a tremendous honor to participate in this event,” he remarked.
During the gathering, PM Modi also inaugurated the Pravasi Bharatiya Express, a special tourist train under the Pravasi Teertha Darshan Yojana, aimed at connecting diaspora members with India’s rich cultural and religious heritage.
The convention underscored India’s increasing engagement with its diaspora and showcased the nation’s progress under PM Modi’s guidance.
