Are Lies Being Spread About Rahul Gandhi on Sanitary Pads?

Prayagraj, July 6 (NationPress) - On Sunday, Rajya Sabha MP and prominent Congress figure Pramod Tiwari accused the BJP of disseminating falsehoods by attaching a photograph of Rahul Gandhi to sanitary pad packages.

Tiwari criticized a misleading video circulating on social media, asserting it highlights the poor mindset of BJP supporters.

A significant controversy arose in election-driven Bihar when a photo of Rahul Gandhi was prominently displayed on sanitary pad packets, part of the Congress party's Priyadarshini Udaan Yojana, which aims to promote menstrual hygiene among women in the state.

This initiative is part of a broader strategy to engage women voters in the region.

In an exclusive discussion with IANS, Tiwari remarked, "The government has faltered in ensuring the safety and health of women, compelling the Congress to distribute sanitary pads with limited resources. However, the BJP is fabricating stories online by claiming a fake image of Rahul Gandhi appears on these pads; there is no such image on the pads."

Tiwari condemned this act as shameful, disgusting, and cheap, reflecting the mentality of BJP followers.

Addressing the government on the voter list issue that surfaced ahead of the Bihar Assembly polls, he emphasized that anyone possessing an Aadhaar card and residing in an area should have their name included in the voter list. Yet, the Election Commission is dismissing Aadhaar cards and is even requesting citizens’ ‘horoscopes’. The Bharatiya Janata Party previously affirmed in Parliament that the Aadhaar card is proof of Indianness; why is it not accepted now?

Tiwari also commented on the arrest of Nirav Modi’s brother, Nehal Modi. He questioned, "While investigations by the CBI and ED were ongoing, who permitted such criminals to escape abroad?"

Recalling past promises, the Congress leader noted that PM Modi claimed Dawood Ibrahim would be brought back to India within six months. He challenged, "Where is Dawood? What has become of terrorists like Masood Azhar, Hafiz Saeed, and Dawood Ibrahim? Can the BJP government provide any details regarding actions taken against them?"

Discussing Operation Sindoor, Tiwari stated, "During this operation conducted by the Indian Air Force, Pakistan was informed that we would target terrorist hideouts. The outcome was that the assault was solely on these hideouts, allowing terrorists to escape. The efforts of our courageous soldiers did not yield full results. The government must clarify where the terrorists were killed, how many were killed, and what their names are. Where is the list of those slain?"

He concluded that this situation represents a direct compromise of national security, urging the government to establish accountability.
