New Delhi, Nov 29 (NationPress) A fierce debate has ignited following the remarks made by Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind (JUH) leader Maulana Mahmood Madani. In reply, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari asserted that India stands as the safest nation for Muslims worldwide.

Maulana Madani characterized the current national climate as extremely sensitive and alarming, alleging that a specific community is being unfairly targeted. He further stated that jihad manifests whenever there is injustice.

In his response, Tiwari labeled those who express such views as criminals, emphasizing that India is the most secure country for Muslims. He argued that such comments tarnish the reputation of their own community.

Additionally, Mahant Raju Das from Ayodhya's Hanuman Garhi temple also challenged Madani's claims, stating that the cleric's thoughts reflect a distorted mindset and insinuated that individuals like him aspire for India to transform into an Islamic state.

Mahant Raju Das condemned Madani's statements as stemming from a corrupted perspective. He noted that the Maulana wishes for all Indian citizens to embrace Islam. “Our commitment to tolerance allows voices like Madani’s to be heard,” he added.

He emphasized that India is a diverse nation, home to Hindus, Sikhs, and various other faiths, and rejected the notion that everyone should be indoctrinated with Islamic beliefs, labeling it wholly unacceptable.

Raju Das also criticized Madani's reference to halala, asserting that under the current political climate, such assertions cannot be tolerated. “These individuals are attempting to introduce halala into our society, yet it cannot be overlooked that such Islamic ideologies have only misled the community,” he stated.

He further questioned why the populations of other religions dwindle in Muslim-majority nations, asking, “Why is their existence under threat? Why are the cultural identities of other faiths endangered in those regions? Why do individuals of different religions find safety solely in India? Maulana Mahmood Madani must provide answers and clarify his stance,” he concluded.

Point of View

It is essential to recognize that these comments spark significant discourse around communal harmony in India. While expressing dissent is a democratic right, it is crucial to approach such sensitive topics with a commitment to unity and inclusivity, reflecting the ethos of a diverse nation.
