TN BJP: DMK-AIADMK's Attempts on Tungsten Mining Matter Will Not Prevail

Chennai, Dec 10 (NationPress) Tamil Nadu BJP Spokesperson A.N.S. Prasad on Tuesday accused the ruling DMK and opposition AIADMK of engaging in political theatrics within the state legislative Assembly concerning the Tungsten mining issue.
He stated, 'Their (DMK and AIADMK) attempts to tarnish PM Modi’s government will ultimately fail,' he asserted.
Prasad rejected Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s assertion in the Assembly that he would resign if the Central government greenlighted the Tungsten mining initiative in Madurai.
He described the later resolution to withdraw permission as purely political.
He contended that the DMK’s depiction of the Central government’s supposed conspiracy regarding the granting of Tungsten mining rights at Arittapatti and Nayakkar Patti was baseless.
According to Prasad, BJP Tamil Nadu President K. Annamalai has explicitly assured that the project will not move forward.
BJP legislative party leader Nainar Nagendran also suggested in the Assembly that an official announcement from the Central government would be forthcoming.
'The misleading propaganda from the DMK and AIADMK, aimed at confusing the people of Tamil Nadu about the Tungsten mining project, warrants strong condemnation. The DMK’s incomplete and deceptive information on the matter has provoked protests in rural areas such as Arittapatti, Nayakkar Patti, and neighboring villages,' he expressed.
The BJP leader stressed that the Modi government prioritizes agricultural welfare and judiciously considers the views of farmers and local communities prior to executing projects.
He assured that the Central government safeguards the interests of the populace by seeking insights from local bodies, district administrations, political figures, and farmers’ welfare organizations.
Prasad accused the DMK-AIADMK coalition of exploiting the Assembly discourse to falsely blame the Central Government for imposing the Tungsten project arbitrarily.
