Tollywood Star Allu Arjun Taken Into Custody Over Theatre Stampede Incident in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Dec 13 (NationPress) On Friday, the Hyderabad Police detained Tollywood star Allu Arjun in relation to an incident involving a stampede at a theatre during the premiere of 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' on December 4.
A tragic incident occurred where a woman lost her life and her son sustained serious injuries during the stampede at Sandhya Theatre, which was attended by Allu Arjun.
A police team from Chikkadpally Police Station apprehended the actor at his residence in Jubilee Hills and transported him to the police station.
Present during the detention were Allu Arjun's father, renowned filmmaker Allu Arvind, along with other family members.
The authorities have filed charges under sections 105 (Culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 118(1) (Voluntarily causing hurt) in conjunction with 3(5) BNS against Allu Arjun, his security personnel, and the theatre management.
This case was initiated at Chikkadpally Police Station on December 5 following a complaint lodged by the husband of the deceased woman. Subsequently, the theatre owner, general manager, and security manager were arrested on December 8.
On December 11, the actor sought relief from the Telangana High Court to dismiss the First Information Report (FIR).
According to police statements, there was a lack of notification from the theatre management or the actor's team regarding their attendance at the venue. Furthermore, the theatre management failed to implement additional security measures to handle the crowd effectively.
In response to this tragedy, Allu Arjun pledged financial support of Rs 25 lakh to the family of the deceased and expressed that he is "deeply heartbroken".
The actor also assured the family that he would personally visit them and provide whatever assistance they may need.
He committed to covering the medical expenses for the boy, whose condition continues to be critical.
In a heartfelt message posted on the social media platform X, Allu Arjun stated, "Deeply heartbroken by the tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre. My heartfelt condolences go out to the grieving family during this unimaginably difficult time. I want to assure them they are not alone in this pain and will meet the family personally. While respecting their need for space to grieve, I stand committed to extending every possible assistance to help them navigate through this challenging journey."
