Puducherry, Aug 30 (NationPress) The Puducherry Traffic Police have declared significant traffic diversions and established vehicle-free zones this Sunday in observance of the Lord Ganesh idol immersion procession. In a message from the Superintendent of Police, Traffic (North-East), it was noted that the immersion of idols in the sea marks the continuation of the Vinayagar Chaturthi festival.

Idols from various regions of Puducherry will gather at Saram Avvai Thidal and will then proceed in a parade through Kamaraj Salai, Nehru Street, MG Road, Ajanta Junction, Old Distillery, and Beach Road for immersion.
