Ahmedabad, March 24 (NationPress) As the IPL 2025 matches approach at Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera, City Police Commissioner G.S. Malik has released a public notice implementing traffic restrictions and diversions according to Section 33(1)(B)(C) of the Gujarat Police Act, 1951.

This initiative is designed to ensure smooth traffic flow and avoid road blockages, as the city gears up to welcome numerous spectators, alongside VVIPs, players, and around 45 celebrities. The matches will take place at the stadium this Saturday.

With a significant influx of people expected near the stadium, strict traffic management measures will be enforced on match days. The restrictions will include a total ban on traffic on the segment between Janpath T Junction and the Stadium Main Gate, in addition to the stretch from Krupa Residency to Motera Gam T Junction.

To aid in transportation, authorities have proposed alternative routes for commuters. One such route leads from Tapovan Circle to ONGC Crossroads, proceeding to Visat T Junction, Janpath T Junction, Powerhouse Crossroads, and Prabodh Rawal Circle.

Another suggested alternative goes from Krupa Residency via Sharan Status Crossroads, then to Koteshwar Road and Apollo Circle. Only specific vehicles will be allowed in the restricted area, including government vehicles on official duties, fire brigades, ambulances, vehicles directly related to the cricket matches, and residents of the restricted zone.

Authorities have cautioned that offenders will face legal repercussions under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023 and Section 131 of the Gujarat Police Act. There will be strict enforcement, with police officers from the Joint/Addl. Commissioners rank down to constables authorized to impose the restrictions.

The Narendra Modi Stadium, recognized as the world's largest cricket stadium, has a seating capacity of around 132,000 spectators. It is set to host various high-profile IPL 2025 matches, attracting cricket enthusiasts from every corner of the country.

Featuring some of the league's premier teams, the matches are anticipated to be exhilarating encounters with both international and domestic cricket stars participating.

The schedule will include evening matches, which generally draw larger audiences, thereby increasing the necessity for effective traffic management.
