The unfortunate incident transpired on the Jetalsar Junction railway bridge as four friends were returning from the Maha Shivratri fair held in Bhavnath, Junagadh.

The collision with the bridge structure was so powerful that it resulted in the car breaking into two sections, which were thrown to opposite sides of the roadway.
Two victims, Muskan Bagda, aged 21 from Raydi village, and Arun Vala, aged 20 from Navagadh, died at the scene. Jaydeep Chauhan, who sustained grave injuries, was rushed for medical assistance, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries later.
The fourth passenger, Amit Parmar, sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Junagadh.
A police officer from Jetpur taluka stated that a case has been lodged and an investigation is currently in progress.
"Initial findings suggest that the driver lost control while crossing the bridge. The vehicle struck the structure and split due to the impact. A detailed inquiry is ongoing to determine the precise cause of the accident," the officer noted.
Law enforcement arrived at the scene after being notified by local residents and passing drivers.
A crane was utilized to remove the wreckage from the road. The accident led to temporary traffic disruptions on the bridge, causing congestion in the area, but traffic was later restored.
Initially, all four individuals were transported to Jetpur Government Hospital. The deceased have been sent for a post-mortem examination, and necessary legal procedures are being undertaken.
This tragic event occurred during the heightened vehicular activity associated with the annual Maha Shivratri festival in Junagadh, which attracts numerous devotees.
Authorities confirmed that every aspect of the incident is being scrutinized as part of the ongoing investigation.
