Rajkot, Feb 15 (NationPress) Tragically, three individuals lost their lives and another suffered severe injuries when a car collided with a railway bridge and shattered into two pieces in Jetpur city, located in Rajkot district, during the early hours of Sunday, according to police reports.

The unfortunate incident transpired on the Jetalsar Junction railway bridge as four friends were returning from the Maha Shivratri fair held in Bhavnath, Junagadh.

As per police information, it is suspected that the driver lost control of the vehicle while navigating the bridge.

The collision with the bridge structure was so powerful that it resulted in the car breaking into two sections, which were thrown to opposite sides of the roadway.

Two victims, Muskan Bagda, aged 21 from Raydi village, and Arun Vala, aged 20 from Navagadh, died at the scene. Jaydeep Chauhan, who sustained grave injuries, was rushed for medical assistance, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries later.

The fourth passenger, Amit Parmar, sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Junagadh.

A police officer from Jetpur taluka stated that a case has been lodged and an investigation is currently in progress.
