Alwar, Dec 17 (NationPress) Tragedy struck as three individuals lost their lives in a devastating fire following a collision between a pickup truck and another truck on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Rajasthan's Alwar, as confirmed by police on Wednesday.
Officials reported that the pickup truck was en route from Delhi to Jaipur when the incident took place at channel number 131.5, under the jurisdiction of the Raini police station in Alwar.
The pickup truck collided with a truck in front of it, and the force of the impact created sparks that rapidly ignited the vehicle, engulfing it in flames.
Upon receiving alerts, police and fire department personnel rushed to the scene to attempt to put out the fire.
A team from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) also responded, rescuing the occupants of the pickup truck. There were four people in the vehicle, three of whom suffered severe burns. All were transported to Raini Hospital, where tragically, three succumbed to their injuries. The driver, who was critically injured, was promptly referred to Jaipur for further medical care.
The remains of the deceased are currently at the Raini Hospital mortuary.
