Patna, May 24 (NationPress) Three individuals tragically perished in a devastating road accident near Sisai village along the Siwan-Patna Road, falling under the jurisdiction of the Goriyakothi police station in Bihar’s Siwan district on Saturday.
Geetanjali Kumari, Additional SHO of Goriyakothi police station, reported that the collision occurred around 5 a.m., when the victims' car was struck by an unidentified vehicle, believed to be a truck.
“We were alerted early in the morning and rushed to the scene. The car was utterly wrecked, and the three occupants were found deceased inside,” Kumari informed IANS.
The victims have been named as Ahsan-ul-Haq, Azad Alam, and Abrar Ali, all residents of Siwan district.
“Upon arrival, we discovered only one vehicle belonging to the victims. Our team retrieved the bodies from the car and transported them to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examinations. The families of the deceased have also been notified,” Kumari added.
Initial investigations indicate that the victims had just landed at Patna airport and were en route home when the accident took place.
Witnesses reported that the impact was so severe that the car was virtually destroyed.
A case of rash and negligent driving has been filed against unidentified parties at Goriyakothi police station.
The police are actively investigating to identify the vehicle involved and are checking local automobile service centers for information.
