Ranchi, Jan 27 (NationPress) Under the central government's ambitious PM SHRI (Prime Minister Schools for Rising India) scheme, the landscape of government schools is undergoing a significant transformation. The aim of this initiative is to convert selected schools nationwide into modern, innovative, and high-quality educational institutions.
In PM SHRI schools, students now benefit from smart classrooms, advanced laboratories, digital boards, improved libraries, hygienic toilets, and secure school environments.
Moreover, educators are receiving training in advanced technologies and contemporary teaching techniques to ensure that children are provided with superior education.
This initiative also aims to put the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) into practice, encouraging creativity, skill enhancement, digital learning, and self-sufficiency among students.
PM SHRI Azad High School at Karbala Chowk, Ranchi, is situated in a minority-populated area, reflecting the central government's continuous efforts to enhance educational opportunities for minority children.
Teachers and students report that since becoming a PM SHRI school, the educational atmosphere has markedly improved, with notable increases in student attendance, engagement, and self-esteem.
This educational initiative not only strengthens government schools but also empowers the aspirations of underprivileged and middle-class children.
The PM SHRI School is a centrally sponsored initiative by the Government of India aimed at developing over 14,500 PM SHRI Schools managed by Central Government/State/UT Government/local bodies, including KVS and NVS, where every student feels welcomed, cared for, and has access to a safe and stimulating learning environment.
This scheme is designed to cultivate students into engaged, productive citizens who will contribute to an equitable, inclusive, and diverse society as envisioned by the National Education Policy 2020.
