While participating in a door-to-door initiative for the Har Ghar Tiranga program at his constituency, Bordowali, he remarked that the campaign has achieved significant success in Tripura.
“This year marks the third anniversary of the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative. We have been actively participating since the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call to action. Our National Flag symbolizes our pride. We are commemorating this day to honor those who paid the highest price during our struggle for independence. Therefore, we are observing Har Ghar Tiranga,” stated Saha.
He emphasized that Tripura is also partaking in this nationwide effort.
The Chief Minister added: “Today, I am in my own assembly constituency. Just yesterday, I was in another constituency, Banamalipur. The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is organized in three phases: from August 2 to 8, August 9 to 12, and August 13 to 15. I am here to engage in door-to-door outreach. The community is delighted to witness this initiative,” he noted.
He further reiterated that the core aim of this program is to honor those who made the supreme sacrifice and those who continue to defend our nation.
During the event, the Chief Minister underscored the importance of the campaign, urging citizens, particularly the youth, to educate themselves about the national flag, the freedom fighters, their sacrifices, and the lengthy struggle for India's independence. On the social media platform X, he shared: “Celebrating India's independence while honoring the sacrifices of our freedom fighters! Today, as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative, I distributed national flags at Gandhi Ghat in Ward No- 32 of Bordowali Assembly Constituency and encouraged everyone to display the Tricolor, representing unity and patriotism.”
The 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign (running from August 2 to 15) was launched under the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' to inspire citizens to bring the Tricolor into their homes and hoist it to celebrate India's independence. This initiative aims to evoke a sense of patriotism among the populace and promote awareness regarding the Indian national flag. The Union Ministry of Culture serves as the nodal ministry for the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign.
