Gurugram, Jan 15 (NationPress) The Gurugram Police have taken into custody two young men for allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old girl at a guest house in Gurugram under the guise of celebrating a birthday, as reported by authorities.
The detained suspects are identified as Anshu alias Sohail (19), hailing from Uttar Pradesh, and Avinash (20), who resides in Faridabad.
Reports indicate that the victim was coerced into staying at the guest house throughout the night, only returning home the following morning.
The suspects were apprehended in Gurugram on Wednesday by a team from the Shivaji Nagar Police Station.
An FIR has been filed against Avinash and Anshu under sections 6 and 17 of the POCSO Act at the Shivaji Nagar police station on Monday.
The victim's mother reported that her daughter had left their residence on Sunday without notifying her family.
The family spent the entire night searching for her. She returned home on Monday morning.
“When I inquired about the events of the night, my daughter revealed that Anshu took her to a guest house on his motorcycle, claiming they would return after celebrating Avinash's birthday. Anshu departed after cutting the cake, and then Avinash assaulted my daughter. She returned home on Monday morning. My daughter also mentioned that Avinash had previously assaulted her twice. I demand strict action against Avinash and Anshu,” stated the victim's mother in her complaint.
