Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Launches FM Channel 'Kumbhvani'

Mahakumbh Nagar, Jan 10 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, officially inaugurated Prasar Bharati's FM channel ‘Kumbhvani’ at the Circuit House on Friday during the second day of his tour in Prayagraj.

Wishing the channel great success, the Chief Minister expressed his belief that ‘Kumbhvani’ will not only achieve remarkable popularity but also spread the spirit of Maha Kumbh to remote villages where many individuals, despite their eagerness, are unable to physically participate in the festivities.

He highlighted that the channel would act as a crucial platform to disseminate all pertinent information about Maha Kumbh to these isolated communities.

Stressing the significance of live broadcasting, CM Yogi stated, "Such initiatives will allow those in far-off areas to witness and comprehend the grandeur of Maha Kumbh."

He mentioned this would enable them to pass on the pride of this grand celebration of Sanatan Dharma to future generations. He also expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and Prasar Bharati for their efforts in launching ‘Kumbhvani’.

The CM reminisced that Akashvani was the pioneering medium connecting people with folk traditions and culture. He shared memories of listening intently to broadcasts of Ramcharitmanas on Akashvani during his childhood.

While acknowledging the emergence of many private channels later, he noted that Prasar Bharati proactively adapted to the changing media landscape.

Given the challenges in reaching remote areas with limited connectivity, Prasar Bharati initiated the special FM channel Kumbhvani during the Kumbh festivals in 2013, 2019, and now again in 2025, ensuring that the essence of Maha Kumbh reaches even the most remote regions.

The CM asserted that Maha Kumbh is not just an event but a significant celebration of the pride, glory, and unity of Sanatan Dharma. He urged individuals who perceive Sanatan Dharma through a narrow viewpoint or who promote divisions based on community differences, caste, or untouchability to visit the Kumbh.

"Here, there are no barriers of sect, caste, or gender. People from all walks of life unite to bathe in the same waters, sharing a common faith, spreading the message of Sanatan pride to the entire world," he stated.

CM Yogi pointed out the increasing interest from international visitors eager to delve into the profound depths of spirituality by participating in the Maha Kumbh.

"This is a remarkable moment, and Prasar Bharati has beautifully encapsulated its essence through Kumbhvani," he remarked.

The Kumbhvani FM channel will broadcast live coverage of daily events while also sharing religious references and stories related to the Maha Kumbh in remote villages, thus making the spiritual essence of the event available to everyone.
