Vehicle in Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma's Convoy Capsizes, Injuring 5 Policemen

Jaipur, Dec 11 (NationPress) A vehicle in the convoy of Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma overturned on Wednesday, injuring five police officers.

The incident occurred at the Akshaya Patra intersection in Jagatpura, Jaipur.

Following the mishap, CM Sharma exited his car and transported the injured officers to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, from where they were subsequently referred to Jeevan Rekha Hospital, as per sources.

Official reports indicate that the convoy departed from the Chief Minister's residence at 3 p.m.

The Chief Minister was en route to attend the inauguration of the Sohan Singh Smriti Skill Development Centre, organized by Laghu Udyog Bharati.

While traversing the Jagatpura square, the incident took place at the Jagatpura intersection.

All three injured policemen are currently receiving treatment at Jeevan Rekha Hospital.

One of the injured officers has been identified as Assistant Sub-Inspector Surendra Singh, while the identities of the others remain undisclosed.

According to reports, one officer is in serious condition and has been placed in the ICU.

As of now, doctors have not commented on the condition of the injured.

Jaipur's District Collector Jitendra Soni and Police Commissioner Beju George paid a visit to the injured at the hospital.

CM Sharma also visited Jeevan Rekha Hospital.

Eyewitnesses stated that a vehicle approaching from the opposite direction collided with a car in the Chief Minister's convoy, which was reportedly traveling at over 100 km per hour.

Meanwhile, CM Sharma's action of attending to the injured individuals has garnered appreciation from the local populace.

Investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Officials have assured that quality healthcare services will be extended to those injured.

The Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit has been taking place in Jaipur since December 9, where both national and international delegates convened at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre, located near Jagatpura Circle.
