Nagpur, Feb 13 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya has claimed that certain madrasas in West Bengal are disseminating anti-national ideology. He mentioned that Intelligence agencies are currently probing this situation.
In a press conference here on Thursday, Vijayvargiya declared, "Anti-national education is being provided in the madrasas of Bengal. Intelligence agencies are looking into this matter. Evidence has been detected in some areas, although some madrasas are operating appropriately."
The BJP official, who previously oversaw West Bengal, remarked, "I have been in Bengal and know that multiple madrasas have been implicated in disseminating anti-national ideology."
The topic of purported anti-national activities in educational institutions was further highlighted by Maharashtra Minister and BJP figure Nitesh Rane, who on Wednesday alleged that a minority institute in Nandurbar district had sheltered a Yemeni national. He has urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to form a Special Investigation Team to look into the issue.
In response to Rane’s comments, Vijayvargiya stated, "I do not completely support Nitesh Rane’s assertion. While some madrasas may be involved in such actions, others are functioning correctly. Nonetheless, a comprehensive investigation is essential to uncover the truth."
Vijayvargiya also condemned senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of making unfounded claims against constitutional bodies whenever his party faces electoral defeat.
"In a democracy, victories and defeats are part of the process. However, when Congress loses, they blame voter lists, EVM tampering, and the Election Commission. Conversely, when they win, everything is considered just. This ‘sweet talk and bitter spit’ approach is intolerable. Rahul Gandhi should behave like a serious politician. If he has evidence, he should present it to the Election Commission instead of making unfounded accusations that erode democratic institutions and public trust," Vijayvargiya stated.
When questioned about claims from Maharashtra’s Opposition leaders that the BJP had smuggled voters from neighboring states during the Assembly elections, Vijayvargiya dismissed these allegations as unsubstantiated.
"If they were genuinely concerned, what were they doing at that time? If they possess video evidence, they should reveal it. CCTV cameras are everywhere. Merely making baseless allegations has become a habit of Congress. This type of political conduct should be condemned," he asserted.
