Patna, May 24 (NationPress) In a tragic turn of events, three men were fatally shot and two others suffered serious injuries during a violent confrontation between rival factions in the Buxar district of Bihar early Saturday.

The incident unfolded in Ahiyapur village, located under the jurisdiction of Rajpur police station.

This violence was triggered by a protracted property dispute that escalated following a heated argument the previous day.

The victims have been identified as Sunil Singh (40), son of Daya Shankar Singh, and Vinod Singh (50), son of Baban Singh, who both died on-site from gunshot wounds, while Virendra Singh (35), son of Kashinath Singh, later succumbed to his injuries in a hospital.

In addition, two individuals, Pujan Singh (40), son of Lalan Singh, and Mantu Singh (35), son of Daya Shankar Singh, are currently in serious condition and fighting for their lives.

In the aftermath, enraged villagers and relatives of the deceased blocked the Chausa-Kochas main road near the Jalhara market, demanding swift action against the perpetrators. This protest led to significant traffic congestion both on this road and the adjacent Jalhara-Kauwa Khonch road.
