Bhopal, March 17 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated on Sunday that the state government is set to enhance industrial growth in two metropolitan areas currently under development.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the progress towards establishing these two metropolitan cities is proceeding at a rapid pace.

The first proposed metropolitan area will encompass districts like Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, and Dhar.

The second metropolitan city will include Bhopal, Sehore, Raisen, Vidisha, and Rajgarh.

CM Yadav mentioned, "The initiative for these two metropolitan regions is being managed by the Urban Development and Housing Department. Their creation will position Madhya Pradesh as a central hub for economic development," he stated.

During his address on Republic Day, January 26, Chief Minister Yadav announced the plans for the development of these two metropolitan cities in Madhya Pradesh.

The government, led by Mohan Yadav, aims to model these cities after Delhi and Mumbai, fulfilling a longstanding demand that has previously been discussed but rarely actioned.

In his statement, CM Yadav noted that the state government has implemented the Integrated Township Policy-2025 to foster sustainable urban growth.

"This policy aims to create well-structured, modern, and self-sufficient townships through collaboration between private and public sectors. It will enhance basic amenities, green living spaces, and smart infrastructure," he added.

CM Yadav asserted that the concept of land pooling is also incorporated in the new policy, allowing landowners to engage in development with appropriate compensation.
