New Delhi, Jan 25 (NationPress) A Yamuna riverfront redevelopment akin to the Sabarmati River project and the transition of leasehold properties to freehold for partition refugees settled in the city were among the major features of the BJP’s Manifesto Part-3 unveiled by Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday, ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections on February 5.

“Have faith in the commitments of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and through the BJP’s performance-driven politics, we will eradicate all hardships faced by Delhi,” asserted Union Home Minister Shah, while criticizing the AAP for resorting to deceitful campaigning.

Shah emphasized that once PM Modi makes a promise, it is unbreakable. He assured that no welfare initiative would be halted post-BJP's victory and urged the electorate to disregard the misinformation propagated by the AAP.

Encouraging AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal to abandon his deceitful politics, Shah assured the voters of Delhi that the BJP has a proven record of fulfilling its commitments across various states. He reiterated the pledge of providing Rs 2,500 as financial aid to women, Rs 500 for LPG cylinders, Rs 21,000 for pregnant women, and a provision for a five-month maternity leave.

“The BJP will establish a corruption-free and transparent governance in Delhi,” stated Shah, offering 50,000 jobs to the youth and assuring the creation of 20 lakh self-employment opportunities.

“In our first Cabinet meeting, we will approve a Rs 10 lakh free insurance scheme for the underprivileged. PM Modi has also proposed an additional Rs 5 lakh insurance for senior citizens,” he added.

Addressing the persistent demands of Pakistani refugee families, Shah stated, "In our inaugural Cabinet meeting, we will grant ownership rights to Pakistani refugees currently holding leases for their properties but are not recognized as owners."

The BJP’s manifesto also included the establishment of welfare boards for domestic workers, gig workers, textile laborers, along with life insurance of Rs 10 lakh and an additional Rs 5 lakh accident insurance for all of them. Similar insurance benefits were extended to auto-rickshaw drivers.

“The primary concern in this election is to eliminate those who lie. They claim to be against politics while enjoying luxuries and security from another state,” he remarked.

Shah also noted the Modi government's initiatives in building regulations to assist homeowners in unauthorized colonies to reconstruct, sell, and purchase properties.

He reiterated PM Modi's promise of providing permanent housing to all slum dwellers and pledged to establish a panel for the de-sealing of 13,000 shops in the city.

Targeting Kejriwal over corruption, Shah criticized him for pledging to live modestly without occupying a government bungalow, yet indulging in constructing the Rs 52 crore Sheesh Mahal.

“Corruption in Delhi has reached unprecedented levels. Through the liquor scam, Kejriwal has discovered new avenues for personal gain,” he claimed.

The AAP had promised to shut down liquor shops in residential zones, yet they opened them near schools, temples, and gurudwaras, he noted.

“Rather than resigning on ethical grounds, Kejriwal opted for jail time as Chief Minister. Upon release, he boasted about his achievement of stepping out on bail,” he remarked.

Shah stated that Kejriwal has failed to double the city's hospital bed capacity and has engaged in corruption under the guise of the Mohalla Clinic.

He further questioned Kejriwal’s inability to create 8 lakh jobs, eliminate the tanker mafia, and tackle the growing garbage issue. Shah also vowed to clean the Yamuna, inviting even Kejriwal to take a dip in the river.

“They habitually raise the statehood issue whenever they are cornered by their failures,” Shah stated, assuring that the BJP will fulfill its promises without excuses.

Shah mentioned that the BJP’s Sankalp Patra was developed after considering 8,000 suggestions and hosting 12,000 meetings. “We have tailored these commitments keeping in mind Delhi’s budget and needs,” he concluded.
