In his address, CM Yogi advised attendees to bathe at the designated Ganga ghats closest to them instead of attempting to reach the 'Sangam Nose' area.
"There are several ghats available for bathing. Please avoid overcrowding and adhere to the instructions of the administration. Your cooperation is vital for maintaining order and safety," he stated.
He appealed to the devotees to ignore any false information. In a message posted on the social media platform X, he wrote: "Take a bath at the ghat of Mother Ganga near where you are, and do not try to go towards Sangam Nose. Everyone should follow the administration's instructions and help ensure arrangements are in place. Many are bathing peacefully at all the ghats of Sangam. Do not heed any rumours."

Officials reported that a significant influx of pilgrims arrived for a holy bath on Mauni Amavasya, resulting in a stampede-like scenario that left many injured.
At least 30 women are currently receiving treatment at the central hospital set up in the Mela area.
The Uttar Pradesh government anticipated that 10 crore pilgrims would visit Maha Kumbh in a single day and had increased security measures in preparation for the 'Amrit Snan'.

The Amrit Snan on Mauni Amavasya is of great spiritual significance, especially this year due to the rare 'Triveni Yog' celestial alignment, which happens only once every 144 years.
