Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday, 26 May publicly lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the 'world's most popular politician' as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government marked 12 years in power at the Centre. The tribute came via a post on X in Hindi, in which the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister credited the Modi government with reshaping welfare delivery, bolstering India's diplomatic standing, and advancing the vision of a developed nation.

In his post, Chief Minister Yogi wrote: 'Heartiest congratulations to the world's most popular politician, the honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, on completing 12 glorious years dedicated to service, good governance, and public welfare as the 'pradhan sevak'!'

He further noted that under Modi's leadership, 'poor welfare became the priority of governance, Antyodaya transformed into the power of self-reliance, and public participation shaped development into a people's movement.' Yogi described this as the foundational vision behind a 'New India' — one where women's empowerment, innovation, economic progress, and cultural renaissance are advancing simultaneously.

Security, Diplomacy and Global Standing

Chief Minister Yogi also highlighted what he characterised as India's stronger security posture and diplomatic confidence under Prime Minister Modi. 'Steadfast at the borders, decisive against terrorism, and brimming with confidence on the global stage, India today stands established as a strong, reliable leader,' his post read. He invoked the phrase 'triveni of digital, demography, and democracy' as the driving force behind the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.

Yogi specifically named several Central government programmes — Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Jan-Dhan Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala, and PM Swanidhi — as evidence of grassroots development reach. He said these schemes have strengthened public trust and brought the principle of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas' to life.
