Prayagraj, Feb 27 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, arrived in Prayagraj on Thursday to celebrate the official conclusion of Maha Kumbh 2025. He took the lead in a cleanliness initiative at Arail Ghat, collaborating with sanitation workers and his Ministers.

The entire cabinet participated in the 'shramdaan (manual labour)' along the banks of the holy Ganga. The Chief Minister also introduced a wider campaign to clean the entire fair vicinity, focusing on eliminating clothes and other waste left in the waters following the grand event.

Sharing his experience on the platform X, CM Yogi expressed his appreciation for the successful operation of Maha Kumbh 2025.

He stated, “Driven by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and supported by committed cleanliness ambassadors, the aspiration of a well-organized and pristine Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj has been achieved. Today, alongside my cabinet colleagues, I engaged in the cleanliness drive at Arail Ghat. I extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who played a part in making this Maha Kumbh a spectacular success.”

Following the cleanliness effort, CM Yogi and his cabinet members boarded a floating jetty to proceed towards Sangam. During the transit, he fed grains to Siberian birds resting by the water. Upon their arrival at Sangam, the Chief Minister conducted a sacred ritual, honoring Maa Ganga, Maa Yamuna, and Maa Saraswati, who are revered in their invisible forms. Accompanied by Vedic chants, CM Yogi, along with his Ministers, performed a milk Abhishek (ritual bathing) for Maa Ganga and offered Aarti, praying for the welfare of the populace. He also greeted the devotees present for the ritual bath at the confluence.

Among those attending the ceremony were Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, Cabinet Ministers Suresh Khanna, Rakesh Sachan, Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, and Anil Rajbhar, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, DGP Prashant Kumar, and Principal Secretary Home and Information Sanjay Prasad, along with several senior officials.

Throughout the day, CM Yogi is scheduled to engage in various programs across Prayagraj. He will meet and honor the employees and organizations whose contributions were vital to the success of Maha Kumbh 2025, celebrating its spiritual, grand, clean, safe, and digital transformations.

In the evening, CM Yogi will also converse with police officers, expressing his gratitude for ensuring a secure environment during Maha Kumbh. Additionally, he is set to meet with officials involved in the arrangements for the Kumbh and discuss the administration’s efforts.
