Agartala, Jan 12 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Saha, emphasized on Monday that the youth's confidence, energy, and contributions will play a pivotal role in shaping the nation's future, stating that a robust nation is essential for a thriving society. During the launch of the state-level National Youth Festival at Nazrul Kalakshetra, he remarked that Swami Vivekananda had a profound belief in the potential of youth, and his principles are still highly relevant today.

“Today’s youth are the primary catalyst for future advancements in both the state and the nation,” Saha noted, adding that the commemoration of National Youth Day aims to foster national awareness and patriotism among young individuals while promoting the ideals of Swami Vivekananda to the younger community.

He characterized Swami Vivekananda as a trailblazer for awakening, a visionary, and a leader of his era, asserting that his ideas and profound love for the nation continue to motivate individuals today. “Youth represents a crucial period in life when inherent talents, strength, and confidence are nurtured,” he said, encouraging young people to incorporate Swamiji’s principles into their everyday lives.

Saha insisted that achieving positive transformations in the country necessitates steering youth power in the right direction. “The youth demographic is the greatest asset of our nation, and India possesses the largest accumulation of this potential,” he proclaimed.

Referring back to Swami Vivekananda’s teachings, Saha highlighted that serving humanity is equivalent to serving God, which implies that youth should focus not just on academic success but also on serving society, the nation, and humanity as a whole.

“The essence of Youth Day lies in leading a disciplined life, pursuing genuine education, aiding others, and cherishing the nation,” he added. Saha also pointed out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, inspired by Swami Vivekananda's ideals, has initiated multiple programs to harness and cultivate the country's youth potential.
