Ayurveda Manufacturing Sector Experiences Remarkable 8-Fold Growth Over the Past Decade: Prataprao Jadhav

New Delhi, Dec 13 (NationPress) The Ayurveda manufacturing sector has witnessed an incredible 8-fold increase over the last decade, as stated by Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav.

This announcement was made during the 10th World Ayurveda Congress (WAC 2024) and the Arogya Expo. The central theme for WAC 2024 is, "Digital Health: An Ayurveda Perspective," which aims to explore the transformative potential of contemporary technologies in promoting Ayurveda.

“Thousands of experts are assembled here to engage in discussions about digital health,” remarked Jadhav, who serves as the Union Minister of State, Independent Charge, Ministry of Ayush, in his speech.

He emphasized that this event signifies “a crucial turning point where diverse ideologies, cultures, and innovations intersect.”

The Union Ayush Minister also highlighted the nationwide initiative “Desh Ka Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyan”, launched on the 9th Ayurveda Day on October 29.

“This campaign aims to assess the Prakriti of over 1 crore individuals based on Ayurvedic principles and marks a significant milestone,” Jadhav encouraged everyone to actively engage in the initiative.

Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, shared that we now have tech-enabled solutions through Ayush Grid, which revolutionizes healthcare with innovations, improving effectiveness, safety, and affordability.

“Over 1.3 billion dollars in investment is anticipated from global partners,” he further noted.

This biennial event is orchestrated by the World Ayurveda Foundation (WAF), an initiative of Vijnana Bharati. This year’s edition of this significant event is set to bring together Ayurveda practitioners, researchers, and enthusiasts from across the globe.

More than 5,500 Indian delegates and over 350 delegates from 54 countries have registered to take part in the 4-day event. The agenda includes extensive discussions and knowledge sharing on utilizing advanced digital tools and innovations to enhance healthcare delivery, redefine research, and integrate Ayurveda into the rapidly changing global health framework.
