London, July 7 (NationPress) Arsenal Women have officially brought Jamaican full-back Taylor Hinds back into the fold on a long-term contract as of Monday.

The 26-year-old player returns to Arsenal for a second stint after her previous contract with Liverpool concluded.

Taylor’s journey with Arsenal commenced in their youth academy at just 11 years old in 2010. Over the next seven years, she significantly advanced through the youth levels, evolving into a versatile player adept at both full-back and midfield roles.

Her debut with the first team occurred during the 2017/18 season, where she came off the bench in a commanding 7-0 League Cup victory against London Bees in October 2017. A month later, she earned her first full start in a 5-2 triumph over Millwall Lionesses in the same tournament.

Taylor made a permanent move to Everton in January 2018, where she accumulated 30 appearances and netted one goal over two and a half seasons before transitioning to Liverpool in July 2020.

She played a key part in Liverpool's Women's Championship title victory in the 2021/22 season, became vice-captain in 2023, and contributed to the team's impressive fourth-place finish in the WSL for the 2023/24 season. Overall, Taylor made 131 appearances over five seasons with Liverpool, scoring eight goals.

Now representing Jamaica on the international stage, Taylor previously played for England at youth levels, participating in the U17 and U20 FIFA World Cups in 2016 and 2018, respectively. She received her first call-up to Jamaica in October 2024, making her debut in a friendly against France.

“I’m incredibly proud to have signed for Arsenal. I aim to push, compete, and win trophies – and this club embodies all of that both on and off the pitch. The direction Arsenal is headed is clear, and everyone at the club is focused on winning,” Taylor expressed in a statement.

“This feels like a full-circle moment for me, and I’m thankful to return to a place I once called home. I’m eager to begin and step onto the pitch at Emirates Stadium in front of our amazing fans,” she added.

Arsenal Women head coach Renee Slegers stated, “We’re thrilled to have Taylor back at Arsenal. She’s a versatile athlete with substantial experience from her time in the WSL with Liverpool, where she embraced a leadership position. I look forward to working with Taylor on the training ground, and I’m certain our supporters will warmly welcome her back.”
