Mumbai, April 20 (NationPress) In a thrilling conclusion to the G D Birla Memorial Masters Inter-Club badminton Tournament, held by Badminton Gurukul at the Bombay Gymkhana, Mangrish Palekar, Manoj Nachanekar, and Naheed Divecha celebrated double victories.

Nachanekar faced a tough match against Rahul Bhuvad but triumphed in three sets, securing the professional singles title with scores of 21-12, 16-21, 21-18. He then teamed up with Bhuvad for the professional doubles final, where they rallied from a first-game loss to overcome Kalpesh Pednekar and Sanjay Golbare with scores of 20-22, 22-20, 21-17.

Palekar partnered with Vikrant to clinch the 45 men’s doubles title, defeating Sushant Shetty and Vishal Manchanda 21-14, 21-11. He later joined Deepak Jaitley to achieve another victory in the 85+ men’s doubles, winning 21-10, 21-13 against Nigel D’Sa and Rohan Radhakrishnan.

Naheed Divecha secured the 75+ women’s doubles championship alongside Aparna Popat, defeating Palkan Dave and Shweta Thakur 21-13, 21-18. She also won the UNI doubles title with Shailesh Daga, overcoming Bibhash Chatterjee and Rajesh D’Souza with scores of 21-17, 15-21, 21-11.
