Dubai, April 15 (NationPress) Australia’s emerging talent Georgia Voll has been awarded the ICC Women’s Player of the Month for March 2025, following an outstanding series against New Zealand that marked a remarkable breakout summer for the young opener.

Georgia Voll, who debuted internationally in December of the previous year, triumphed over tough competition from her senior teammate Annabel Sutherland and the USA’s promising all-rounder Chetnaa Prasad to secure her first ICC honor.

"Receiving this award is certainly a wonderful way to conclude what has been an extraordinary summer for both myself and the team. Traveling to New Zealand and winning that T20 series against the World Champions was the ideal way to wrap up the season. It’s been a thrilling first summer with the Australian team, and I am eager to see what next season brings," Voll expressed in an ICC statement.

Voll’s achievement signifies that Australian players have clinched the monthly award for the fourth consecutive month, following Annabel Sutherland in December 2024, Beth Mooney in January, and Alan King in February.

The 21-year-old played an essential role in Australia’s 3-0 sweep over the White Ferns in March, finishing with 161 runs across the three-match series, placing her second only to her opening partner Beth Mooney in the run-scoring leaderboard.

Voll achieved her first T20I half-century in just 30 balls during the opening match in Auckland, as Australia successfully chased down 138 for victory. She followed this with an additional 36 runs in Mount Maunganui before delivering a Player of the Match-winning performance in Wellington, striking 75 runs off 57 balls to secure a decisive series sweep over the T20 World Cup champions.
