Chennai, Aug 3 (NationPress) Hockey Madhya Pradesh, Hockey Chandigarh, Hockey Jharkhand, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Hockey achieved significant victories in Division ‘A’ on the seventh day of the 15th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men National Championship 2025 held at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium here on Sunday.
This day marked the end of the Division ‘A’ pool stage, paving the way for the upcoming Quarterfinals. The Hockey Association of Odisha is set to challenge Hockey Punjab, while Hockey Jharkhand will face Hockey Chandigarh. Uttar Pradesh Hockey is prepared to meet Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Hockey, and Hockey Haryana will confront Hockey Madhya Pradesh.
In the opening match, Hockey Madhya Pradesh dominated Delhi with a score of 9-0. Karan Gautam was outstanding, netting five goals (8’, 14’, 32’, 35’, 38’). Other scorers included Meezan Ur Rehman (18’), Aashir Aadil Khan (25’), Ansh Bahrutra (27’), and Ayan Sher Khan (47’), showcasing a remarkable performance.
In another match, Hockey Chandigarh triumphed over Hockey Maharashtra with a score of 3-2. Despite Rehan Shafi Khan (7’) and Ethan Albano D’souza (8’) giving Maharashtra a two-goal advantage in the first quarter, Chandigarh rallied back with goals from Amit Singh (45’), Captain Sahill Duhan (51’), and Parambir Singh (55’) to claim victory.
