Jamwal secured a unanimous decision against Germany’s Denis Bril in the 65kg category, while Hitesh triumphed over Italy’s Gabriele Guidi Rontani with the same score in the 70kg category.
In the 55kg showdown, Manish Rathore faced Australia’s Yusuf Chothia, an Olympian from Paris, and demonstrated his readiness for any challenge presented by his rival.
The match remained competitive across all three rounds, with Rathore ultimately claiming victory as three judges favored him, while two judges scored it evenly.
In the semifinals, Rathore will encounter Nursultan Altynbek from Kazakhstan, Hitesh will compete against Makan Traore, and Jamwal will battle Gianluigi Malanga of Italy.
Earlier, national champion Jadumani Singh Mandengbam defeated Great Britain’s Ellis Trowbridge to secure his spot in the semifinals of the 50kg category.
Trowbridge, a silver medallist at the 2024 World Boxing Cup Finals, started aggressively, but the Indian remained resilient, managing to land effective punches and winning by a 3:2 split decision.
Jadumani will now face former Asian U-22 champion Asilbek Jalilov for a chance to reach the finals. However, India’s campaign in the 75kg, 85kg, and 90+ kg divisions concluded as all three boxers fought valiantly but were eliminated.
Nikhil Dubey lost his 75kg match 0:5 against local favorite Kaue Belini, while Jugnoo was edged out by a 1:4 split decision against France’s Abdoulaye Traore in the 85kg class.
Narender came close to victory against Kazakhstan's Daniyal Saparbay, receiving a 30-27 score from one judge, but ultimately fell in the 90+ kg bout on a 3:2 split decision.
