Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Ahmedabad, Jan 28 (NationPress) American Jhared Hack, who triumphed in Pre-Qualifying III last week, registered a second consecutive two-under 70, bringing his total to four-under 140 and establishing a three-shot advantage on day two of the final qualifying stage of the PGTI Qualifying School 2026 at the Kensville Golf & Country Club in Ahmedabad.
Shubham Jaglan, a two-time runner-up on the PGTI last season, posted a 71 in round two, finishing the day tied for second at one-under 143 alongside Sawai Hamendra Singh Bhati (71).
The halfway cut was set at 11-over 155, with 82 players, including 16 amateurs and 14 international competitors, advancing from a total of 131 participants.
Jhared Hack (70-70), who began the day tied for second and two shots behind the leader, notched five birdies and three bogeys on Wednesday. He managed to score birdies on all four Par-5 holes due to his exceptional wedge-play and delivered a remarkable approach shot on the fourth hole that resulted in a birdie.
Hack commented, “I started off a bit shaky by missing some early short putts. However, I managed to play solid golf afterward. The key was my patience despite the initial setbacks, which allowed me to make quality shots as I hit many fairways. My overall game was quite stress-free in the later parts of the round.”
Currently, Rohit Baisoya sits in fourth place at even-par 144, while 16-year-old Kartik Singh, 17-year-old amateur Pritish Singh Karayat, and Joysurjo Dey are tied for fifth at one-over 145.
By the end of round four, the top 47 players will secure their full cards for the 2026 PGTI season.
