Joseph Acknowledges Seales' Aggression Following His Impressive 4-5 Spell

Kingston (Jamaica), Dec 2 (NationPress) West Indies pace bowler Shamar Joseph lauded his teammate Jaden Seales, highlighting the aggression he brings to the squad following Seales' outstanding spell of 4-5, which helped dismiss Bangladesh for just 164 runs on Day 2 of the second Test at Sabina Park in Kingston.
Joseph and Seales collectively claimed seven wickets, while Kemar Roach contributed with two wickets as the West Indies showcased a dominant performance in the match's early stages. The Windies concluded the day at 70/1 in 37 overs, with Keacy Carty and Kraigg Brathwaite remaining unbeaten on 19 and 33 runs, respectively.
"He brings a lot of aggression to the table. This is the best I have seen him bowl. I thoroughly enjoyed observing his spell today. While things don’t always go as planned, taking three wickets today was quite satisfying for me," Joseph remarked at the end of the day's play.
"We always aimed to come out here and perform at our best. We had some discussions with our bowling coach, who advised us to adhere to our fundamentals as closely as possible. Personally, I focus on sticking to my strategies. I strive to bowl as quickly and accurately as I can, maintaining a good line and length consistently," he continued.
For Bangladesh, opener Shadman Islam was the standout performer, managing to score 64 runs, while captain Mehidy Hasan Miraj contributed a determined 36 runs before being dismissed by Seales. This marked Seales' second wicket of the over after he had previously sent Taskin Ahmed back to the pavilion for just 8 runs.
In the subsequent over, Seales dismissed Nahid Rana for a duck, concluding Bangladesh's first innings at 164 all out in 71.5 overs.
