Kolkata, March 3 (NationPress) The reigning champions, Kolkata Knight Riders, have revealed a fresh jersey design for the forthcoming 18th edition of the Indian Premier League on Monday. In a remarkable campaign, KKR shared the official jersey launch video, showcasing fans who are captivated by “Number 3”.

The video concludes with 'Three Stars' intricately woven into the fabric of the new jersey, symbolizing the three titles in KKR’s trophy collection. Players Rinku Singh, Venkatesh Iyer, Ramandeep Singh, Manish Pandey, Vaibhav Arora, Anukul Roy, Mayank Markande, and Luvnith Sisodia appear in the video, donning the new attire.

In addition to the newly added third star above the team crest, KKR’s jersey also features a distinctive golden IPL badge on the sleeve this year, introduced by the tournament to honor the defending champions of the 2025 season.

Adorned with a design inspired by the “Three-edged Star,” the jerseys were launched for sale simultaneously, available for purchase on Knight Club, the team’s official app, website, and KKR’s social media platforms.

By selecting 03/03 as the date for unveiling their new Purple and Gold apparel, Knight Riders also declared an exclusive initiative to elevate their identity from a global franchise to a cosmic presence with their #InTheKnightSky campaign.

Three actual stars in the sky have been officially registered and named after the team’s motivational motto: 'Korbo', 'Lorbo', and 'Jeetbo', as a tribute to their championship victories in 2012, 2014, and 2024.

KKR has reached the IPL finals four times, clinching the championship thrice (2012, 2014, 2024). They were runners-up in the 2021 season, executing one of the most extraordinary comebacks in the tournament's history.

KKR will launch their IPL 2025 journey against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Eden Gardens on March 22, aspiring to add a fourth star above their emblem.
