LIV Golf's International Series Marks Its Historic Debut in India Scheduled for January-February 2025

Gurugram, Dec 4 (NationPress) Next year, the International Series will see participation from some of the most prominent stars of LIV Golf and the Asian Tour as it makes its historic first appearance in the Indian subcontinent, showcasing the best of the tour during the International Series India. This event will kick off a groundbreaking calendar for 2025.
The prestigious tournament promises a prize purse of US$ 2 million and is set to be hosted at the beautiful and exclusive DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurugram from January 30 to February 2, 2025. This will be the inaugural event out of a total of 10 carefully planned tournaments in 2025, providing a pathway to the LIV Golf League for the champion of the end-of-season rankings.
During a special launch held alongside the season-closing PIF Saudi International, LIV Golf League star Anirban Lahiri confirmed his participation in this eagerly awaited 2025 opener on home turf. This event is part of a groundbreaking agreement between LIV Golf and the Asian Tour, with the inaugural event taking place in 2022 in Thailand.
Aligning with the overall schedule of the LIV Golf League, this year’s tournament is set just before the LIV Golf season opener in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from February 6 to 8, bringing together some renowned names at the iconic and challenging course designed by Gary Player.
Aakash Ohri, joint managing director and chief business officer of DLF, expressed excitement for the inaugural event in the International Series in India. “We are confident that the course will present a significant challenge to the world’s best players, and we eagerly anticipate welcoming golf enthusiasts from India and around the globe to experience Gurugram and India,” Ohri stated in a release.

Our collaboration with DLF to host this tournament in the subcontinent represents a significant achievement for The International Series. Bringing the tour to India and the distinctive DLF Golf and Country Club next year marks a major milestone that will provide players with a fresh and enjoyable experience.”
The International Series India presented by DLF is the first tournament announced as part of the revamped schedule for The International Series in 2025, which will also include new locations and returns to established markets. The remaining events on the calendar will be disclosed shortly, as indicated by the stakeholders in a release.
