Nagesh Trophy: Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh Shine on Day 4

Bangalore, Dec 16 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh secured commanding victories on Day 4, enhancing their opportunities to qualify for the subsequent round of the ongoing 7th iteration of the Men's National T20 Cricket Tournament for the Blind 2024-25, widely known as the Nagesh Trophy, held here on Monday.
The Group C league matches of this year's Nagesh Trophy commenced on December 13. A total of five teams from Group C are competing for supremacy in this segment.
At the KT Global Ground in Bhubaneswar, a match unfolded between Uttar Pradesh and Chandigarh. Uttar Pradesh triumphed by scoring 127/1 in 14.1 overs, while Chandigarh managed 126/7 in their full 20 overs. Ravi Verma from Uttar Pradesh earned the title of Player of the Match.
In the day's second match, Madhya Pradesh achieved a convincing victory, amassing 222/3 in just 20 overs, while Tripura was dismissed for 90 runs in the same number of overs. Rampal Uike from Madhya Pradesh was honored as Player of the Match for his stellar performance, scoring 125 runs off 74 balls.
This year’s league matches are being hosted across six venues, leading up to the Super 8 stage in February 2025. A total of 28 teams, including state and union territory squads along with an Indian Railways team, are in contention for the championship.
