Odisha and Madhya Pradesh Excel in Men's National T20 Blind Cricket Championship

Bangalore, Dec 14 (NationPress) Odisha and Madhya Pradesh delivered impressive performances on the second day of the 7th edition of the Men's National T20 Cricket Tournament for the Blind 2024-25, widely known as the Nagesh Trophy on Saturday.

The league matches for the 7th edition of the Nagesh Trophy Group C commenced on December 13. A total of five teams from Group C are competing for victory in the ongoing tournament.

The KT Global Ground in Bhubaneswar hosted the match between Odisha and Tripura. Odisha triumphed by posting a score of 268/4 in 20 overs, whereas Tripura could only manage 107/7 in their 20 overs. Anjan Singh of Odisha received the Player of the Match accolade for his remarkable innings of 125 runs off 63 balls.

In the second match that day, Madhya Pradesh faced off against Chandigarh, securing an easy victory by scoring 194/7 in just 20 overs, while Chandigarh was bowled out for 131 runs in 19 overs. Stendr Tripathi from Madhya Pradesh was honored as the Player of the Match.

This year’s league matches are taking place across six venues, leading up to the Super 8 stage scheduled for February 2025. A total of 28 teams, including representatives from various states and union territories, as well as an Indian Railways squad, are competing for the championship.
