New Delhi, April 14 (NationPress) Delhi Capitals batter Karun Nair, who captivated fans with his explosive innings of 89 runs, expressed his disappointment following his team's 12-run loss against Mumbai Indians at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday. This marked Delhi's first defeat of the IPL 2025 season after achieving four consecutive victories.
After being invited to bat first, Mumbai Indians set a formidable target, scoring 205 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. In response, Nair's impressive knock of 89 off 40 balls ultimately fell short as Delhi Capitals struggled to chase the target.
"It's a valuable lesson for all of us. I feel disappointed that we couldn't secure the win. We lost wickets at crucial moments, making it challenging for us as we needed a stable batsman to remain until the end. Nevertheless, we can learn from this experience and strive for improvement.
