New Delhi, April 20 (NationPress) After Prasidh Krishna surpassed Noor Ahmad to become the top wicket-taker in IPL 2025, former Indian cricketer and multiple IPL champion Ambati Rayudu remarked that the tall fast bowler's potential is not only advantageous for the Gujarat Titans (GT) but also for the future of the Indian national team.
At the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Prasidh achieved figures of 4-41 in GT's seven-wicket victory against the Delhi Capitals (DC), raising his tournament total to 14 wickets—two more than Noor.
After a lengthy absence due to back and quadriceps injuries, Prasidh made a significant comeback, having taken six wickets during the Sydney Test against Australia earlier this year, showcasing his impressive progression.
"He appears to be in excellent rhythm. His key strength lies in hitting the pitch hard. The delivery he bowled to KL Rahul was particularly surprising, as it moved at the last moment. He has a wide range of variations—his slower ball is quite effective too. "He genuinely enjoys bowling alongside Siraj, who alleviates some pressure as a wicket-taker. His pace is impressive, and he generates good bounce, thanks to his height. He consistently delivers close to the off stump, so the ball doesn't need to do too much to be effective.
