Pune, Aug 4 (NationPress) The eagerly awaited Pune Marathon is set to take place on November 23, 2025, solidifying the city’s role as a pivotal location in India’s expanding fitness landscape. The race will commence from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
Famed actor, model, and fitness advocate Milind Soman will once again represent the Pune Marathon, highlighting his dedication to promoting health, endurance, and inclusive participation for individuals of all ages.
This year's total prize pool amounts to INR 11 lakh, distributed across various race categories. Registration is now open, with an entry fee of INR 950 + GST for the full marathon, INR 900 + GST for the half-marathon, INR 750 + GST for the 10K Run, and INR 600 + GST for the 5K Run. In a show of respect for India’s armed forces, Defence Forces and Police personnel can register at no cost.
The Pune Marathon, celebrated in Maharashtra’s cultural heart, is known as India’s most inclusive marathon, welcoming runners with disabilities to join in alongside others. Milind Soman will lead this initiative.
More than 3000 participants from various categories in the event’s three main races — 42.2K Marathon, 21.1K Half Marathon, and others — are expected to take part. Runners completing the full or half marathons will receive a commemorative finisher’s medal to honor their achievement.
Praful Uchil, Director of Striders, remarked, “Last year, the inaugural edition received an overwhelming response. What was most remarkable was not only the number of participants but also the energy, spirit, and belief that Pune is ready — not just for a race, but for a movement. This belief drives us to return this year with greater ambition, scale, and purpose.”
In a special message to potential participants, Milind Soman stated, “Every step you run tells a story — of strength, resilience, and the determination to overcome limits. The Federal Bank Pune Marathon is more than just a race; it’s a journey that begins when you choose to show up for yourself. Whether aiming for a personal best or proving your capabilities, this is your moment. I’ll be there to not only run but to witness thousands create their own stories of grit and glory. See you at the starting line!”
